Pilgrim badges in middleages were integral part of a very popular pilgrim movement. Originally badges appeared as souvenirs and pilgrimage proofs. Large amounts of findings is an evidence of great popularity. In late medieval period one can notice that badge's thematics has become more lay – sometimes very coarse.
