Garments like robe/houpellande are an answer to the short and skintight passageway fashion of XIV centuries. The robe is loose, bell-formed cutted with many folds all around what allows careful laying. This type had a standing collar, closed with 30 pewter buttons – 16 buttons in front 7 per each sleeve. Normally shorter than the houpellandes. Made of wool with linen lining.
