Hoods were very popular during the whole Middle Ages period. Worn by every class. Primarily made from wool, sometimes with linen lining. Hoods gave excellent protection against weather as well as they fullfilled decorative role.

This particular model is based on finds from Herjolfsnes, Greenland. The model shown here has a long tail and wide ruff.
