Hoods were worn throught all medieval period. Used both as a decoration protection against wind and cold. Made of wool with linen lining.
This type has short ruff and long liripipe. It is tight ftting to the face and very long liripipe, which can be tied into decorational ball shape. Liripipe (hood tail) is sewn in such way that enables to put small belongings into the tail and after tying it to carry them safely -as it was in medieval period.
