Hoods were very popular during the whole Middle Ages period. Worn by every class. Primarily made from wool, sometimes with linen lining. Hoods gave excellent protection against weather as well as they fullfilled decorative role.
This type has short ruff and long liripipe. It is tight ftting to the face. The tail is shaped in such a way that when the hood is put on the head, it falls to the side, and not to the back, as in the case of other hoods.
