Our History – About Us Bonum Sartores Historical Costume Workshop is a place where a passion for historical reenactment meets top-quality craftsmanship. We offer professional historical tailoring, creating faithful reconstructions of clothing and accessories from various eras, with a particular focus on the Middle Ages.

Hello, it’s us – Bartek and Kamila! We have been involved in historical reenactment for over a decade, specializing in historical costumes from the High and Late Middle Ages. Thanks to our education and years of experience, we can successfully recreate clothing and accessories from other periods as well. Our skills also allow us to create costumes for LARP enthusiasts, particularly those inspired by the world of Warhammer. Visit our LARP section to see what we can offer you.

We collaborate with cultural institutions, museums, and educational centers. Among our clients are the Malbork Castle Museum, Museum Burg Linn, the Living Museum of Gingerbread, and Château de Castelnaud Musée de la guerre au Moyen Âge. We have had the honor of creating historical costumes for museum exhibitions as well as for historical animators.

Our work is our passion. We combine an interest in history, historical tailoring, and source research to provide the highest quality historical reconstructions. Our passion led us to study history, art history, and tailoring, allowing us to acquire thorough knowledge of the material culture of past centuries. As a result, our historical costumes are not only aesthetically pleasing but also historically accurate.

Our reconstructions are based on meticulous research of iconography and preserved historical materials. We pay attention to every detail, using only high-quality fabrics and resources from our trusted suppliers. We are not just a store – we are craftsmen. All our products are handmade, ensuring their uniqueness and authenticity. We treat each order individually, which means the production process may take longer than standard online store purchases. If you need a faster completion time, please contact us!

In our workshop, we use machine, mixed (machine sewing with hand finishing), and fully hand-sewn techniques. We particularly encourage ordering historical garments made using traditional methods, such as opus teutonicum embroidery, hand printing on fabrics, or quilted clothing. If you have specific finishing requirements – write to us!

Our offer mainly includes historical clothing and sewn accessories, but you will also find costume additions and camp equipment. We are open to new challenges! If you have an unusual project or an ambitious reconstruction idea – we are happy to help. We will find historical sources, select appropriate materials, and advise on the best solutions.

Couldn’t find what you need in our store? That doesn’t mean we can’t make it! Write to us at bonumsartores@gmail.com or contact us via WhatsApp: 500090403. You can find more of our work on Facebook and Instagram.
