Armor Belt – An Alternative to the Belt
An armor belt was a practical element of medieval combat attire, serving a similar function to the belt. It served to securely hold various pieces of armor – leggings, chainmail, or plate armor. This distributed the weight of the armor evenly, providing the warrior with greater freedom of movement and comfort when wearing combat equipment.
Such belts were made of durable materials, reinforced with additional stitching. They were essential for every knight and soldier, providing a solid base for donning full armor.
